Cowboy PinballThe Farm Report

In reality, it was probably more like this picture. But in my defense, I didn't have a lot of time to analyse the situation! |
The brine I use is one I mentioned here in another blog a while back. It is something I make up and keep on hand all summer long. When I get cuke's or something I want to pickle, I bring them in to the shop kitchen and wash them up, snip off the blossom ends and then just pour the brine over them and wait. This is my 'Claussen' pickle knock-off brine. I spell it with a 'K' to add emphasis. Stay tuned, I'll let you know how they come out. |
Here's a little video for you to watch, if you're into watching cats n' dogs - or if you're in isolation and just don't have anything else worthwhile to do. I didn't have to stage this, they do it all the time. Annie shucks and jives, bobs and weaves, blocks and parries. Miss Kitty just stays centered.
I don't find the video, but I can see the motion in Annie's tail in the last pic.

It seems to be working with Windows and iOS systems, but not Android. Will wonders never cease???
The video works on my MacBook, and is very entertaining. But then again, everyday animal antics are my entertainment viewing of choice. :-) Was surprised at how quietly they play! Were you 'quiet' while playing Cowboy Pinball? Ha! I assume you have lightning rods on all your buildings; I remember they were standard equipment on Midwest farms. Glad your utility company was fast!
ReplyDeleteQuiet? It happened so fast, I didn't even have time to draw in a breath! The sky turned a little blue shortly after I hit, though. Lightning rods in place! From 1903 actually - original equipment on the old manor.
DeleteSorry about your fall. Glad you “bounced” back ok. Really missing Iowa rain but not the lightening. Hot and dry here. Though my flowers are still lovely. Enjoying rufous hummingbirds and yellow finches. Lots of monarchs. And rabbits. And of course lizards. Stay safe. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to see your hummers. As for 'bouncing' back, you'll have a better picture if you'll imagine what it looks like if you just throw a bag of potatoes against the building. Not much bounce in me, I'm afraid. All good though! Cool this morning, thank goodness.
DeleteWow - that must have been a fall - I hope you're not feeling the effects now after the fact. Annie is darling - she so clearly wants to play in that video :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the concern. I'm fine! (Wonder of wonders) Annie and Miss Kitty play like this all the time. When they are tired of it, Miss Kitty just gets down and walks away. Annie follows along like, "Can't we do it some more?" Miss Kitty flips her tail and walks off. Annie seems disappointed, but not for long - she has other fish to fry.
